Terms & Conditions

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. About Us

This website is operated by GB Floors UK (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, which apply to all orders placed online, by phone, or via email.

2. Purchase Contract

Your order is an offer to purchase goods from us. A contract is formed when we accept your order in writing (email or web confirmation). We reserve the right to refuse any order prior to acceptance.

3. Prices

All prices are in UK Pounds (£), inclusive of VAT where applicable, excluding delivery charges. Prices may change without notice before orders are accepted. Promotions are valid only within stated periods.

4. Products & Availability

– Stock levels may vary. If an item is unavailable after you place an order, we will notify you and offer alternatives or a refund.
– Flooring batches can vary; samples are indicative only. Colour or texture variations between batches are not defects.
– Product images are illustrative; actual products may vary.

– Carpet widths may vary by up to 1.25% due to standard manufacturing tolerances, so we kindly advise customers to allow for this when measuring and placing orders.

5. Delivery

– Delivery lead times are estimates and not guaranteed. We aim for 3–7 working days in mainland UK but may take up to 21 days.
– Delivery is ground-floor (access permitting) or kerbside only; drivers are not insured to carry goods upstairs.
– You must ensure access for large vehicles. Failed deliveries due to restricted access may incur redelivery fees.

– Deliveries are typically one-man, and the delivery driver may require assistance for larger items.
– We are not liable for losses or costs due to delivery delays, including installer costs or third-party arrangements.

6. Inspection & Acceptance

– You must inspect all goods immediately upon delivery and before cutting, installing, or booking any installer.
– If goods are damaged, defective, or incorrect, you must notify us in writing within 7 days of delivery, before any installation or cutting.
– Claims made after flooring has been cut, fitted, or used will not be accepted.

7. Risk & Ownership

– Ownership transfers upon delivery.
– Risk passes on delivery; you are responsible for safe storage, protection from damage, and suitability for your intended use.

8. Cancellation & Returns

8.1 Your Right to Cancel
– Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have 14 calendar days from delivery to cancel non-bespoke goods for a refund.
– This right does not apply to bespoke or made-to-measure items (e.g., flooring cut to size, opened packs of laminate/LVT).

8.2 Returns Procedure
– Cancellation must be requested in writing; we will provide a Return Reference Number.
– Goods must be returned unused, in original packaging, and in a resaleable condition at your cost.
– Restocking/administration fee of 40% + VAT applies to returns.
– Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving returned goods.

8.3 Faulty or Incorrect Goods
– If goods are confirmed faulty or incorrect before cutting or installation, we will arrange collection and replacement or refund.
– We are not liable for costs of fitting, removal, third-party services, or any consequential losses.

9. Bespoke & Cut-to-Order Products

– Flooring cut to your measurements, special orders, or any bespoke products cannot be cancelled or returned once cut or dispatched, unless faulty.
– Opened packs of flooring are deemed bespoke as they cannot be resold.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our maximum liability is limited to the purchase price of the goods. We are not liable for any costs arising from delays, fitting errors, third-party charges, loss of earnings, or any consequential or indirect loss.

In the event that goods are proven faulty or misdescribed, we may reimburse reasonable costs for uplift and refitting of the flooring, provided these costs are directly related to replacing the faulty goods and are supported by evidence.

However, we are not liable for costs related to furniture removal, storage, or any incidental expenses incurred during uplift, refitting, or installation of flooring — including where goods are faulty or replaced — as these are considered convenience costs outside the direct scope of flooring supply.

It is your responsibility to ensure the suitability of the goods for your intended purpose before ordering and installing.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

11. Manufacturer Warranties

All manufacturer warranties apply to goods purchased through Gb Floors UK, provided they are installed and maintained per manufacturer instructions. These warranties can be found either on our website or directly on the manufacturer’s website.

12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to weather, transport disruptions, supplier delays, strikes, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by English law, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
